Inspiration

Noun- fickle, fleeting,
slow to gain,
and quickly lost,
like a fast receding tide
which pulls at Idea's anchor
dragging it out to sea
to drift haplessly amongst new ports of thought.

And what an odd reception that Idea
will have if it ever
finds its way back home,
ready to trade in faint recollection.

Another quick poem that I wrote 5 minutes before it was due, I apologize if that fact is very apparent. This poem is about inspirations, epiphanies, moments of clarity, etc. and how sometimes they tend to fade before you can act.

you know what? its those papers and poems that happen spur of the moment that make the great grades and greatest impace, sometimes. i like how this is written, a definition, gone poetic. ^^:heart:

I'm glad you liked this one, it happens to be one of my favorites.My inspiration has always been very random, I'll just be sitting around and something will pop into my head, and I'll start writing, drawing, etc. Specifically though, I think I get my best ideas after staring at the sky (either day or night but preferably a clear night), or just sleeping/dreaming/dream states seem to do the trick for me sometimes. So all of that into account, I would say that being lost in thought and the minor detachment that is associated with it is what helps me clear everything negative out of my system and get inspired.

the most random things inspire me. interesting pictures, strange things that happen. realizations, thought process, hopes, dreams, emotional pain...to tell you the truth-i think that's why i broke up with that guy. i was just too happy. v.v lol

i love to look at the stars. stunning.

i'm most creative at night. i should just go out and sit on the roof sometime and draw/think/write

I'd have to break a lock and climb up through a ceiling in the hallway of my apartment. Plus I have no awning in front of my window, which I guess is good cause I can use my fan during the mid-day.
